Camomile has been used for centuries as a relaxing and soothing herb. Lavender traditionally used to balance your mood and nature creativity.

Orange peels contains large amount of vitamin C. Some researchers believe sweet orange might help asthma because of the antioxidant activity of vitamin C. Sweet orange also contains large amount of potassium. There is evidence that potassium may help prevent high blood pressure and stroke.

Rosehip is a very beneficial and is a perfect source of antioxidants. Many people find that rosehip makes them feel sleepy. The reason is that rosehip is high in two compounds, GABA and theanine. GABA is an amino acid known for its sleep-inducing properties and theanine is an amino acid that is known to help people relax.

Rose petals have a relaxing effect as well, helping to lower stress level and encourage sleep.

As you steep your tea, you are also steeping your mind in relaxation. The act of preparing and savouring your brew is like a pre-sleep dance that helps you shake off the day’s worries.

Try our Sweet Orange Dreams Tea, specially designed to help you to sleep at night and don’t say later that you didn’t finish listening to the bedtime story again.

HOT BREWING METHOD:

Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 7-9oz / 200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 1-3 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea). Milk (hibiscus will curdle milk) and sugar are not recommended. Ideal Brewing Temperature: 90ºC/194ºF or higher.

ICED TEA BREWING METHOD

(Pitcher): (to make 1 liter/quart): Place 12 slightly heaping teaspoons of herbal tea into a teapot or heat resistant pitcher. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 1¼ cups/315ml over the herbal tea. Steep for 5-10 minutes. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water. Pour the tea into your serving pitcher, straining the tea. Add ice and top-up the pitcher with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing freshly brewed iced herb & fruit tea is to increase the strength of hot brew since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water.

We strongly recommend using filtered or freshly drawn cold water brought to a rolling boil when brewing all types of tea. Today’s water has been known to carry viruses, parasites and bacteria. Boiling the water will kill these elements and reduce the potential incidence of water-borne illnesses.
