Mindful Morihga (Restorative)

Good Morinaga to you. The Moringa tree (Latin: Morinaga oleifera), native to Northern India, has been revered by traditional health practitioners for millennia – in particular as a source of brain-enriching nutrients. In fact, in developing countries where food sources may be scarce, Moringa supplements play a role as an important source of essential proteins, iron, riboflavin and more.

An incredibly fast growing tree, Moringa gets its name from the Tamil word murungai meaning. twisted pod, in reference to the elongated shape of its fruit. Additional unique characteristics of the tree have spawned a number colloquial names throughout the years: drumstick tree (thanks to the shape of its seed pods), horseradish tree (owing to the horseradish like flavor of its roots). Ben oil tree (because of the oil that can be extracted from its seeds, and Miracle tree (because of its ability to grow just about anywhere).

As the key ingredient in this robust and restorative blend, Moringa, along with a plethora of other herbs, fruits and flowers, aids in the delivery of a daily dose of Vitamin A, C and E, along with life-affirming antioxidants and polyphenols. And you will feel out the palate of natural citrus. Natural for high sip ability.

The perfect tea to enjoy on those days when your brain needs a boost. Enjoy – Mindful Morihga (Restorative)!

HOT BREWING METHOD:

Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 7-9oz / 200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-7 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea). Milk and sugar are not recommended. Ideal Brewing Temperature: 100ºC/212ºF.

ICED TEA BREWING METHOD

(Pitcher): (to make 1 liter/quart): Place 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of herbal tea into a teapot or heat resistant pitcher. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 1¼ cups/315ml over the herbal tea. Steep for 5-10 minutes. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water. Pour the tea into your serving pitcher, straining the tea. Add ice and top-up the pitcher with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing freshly brewed iced herb & fruit tea is to increase the strength of hot brew since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water.

(Individual Serving): Place 1 slightly heaping tea spoons of herbal tea into teapot for each serving required. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 6-7oz/170-200ml per serving over the herbal tea. Cover and let steep for 5-10 minutes. Add hot tea to a 12oz/375ml acrylic glass filled with ice, straining the tea. Not all of the tea will fit, allowing for approximately an additional ½ serving. Garnish and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing freshly brewed herb & fruit tea is to increase the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted.

We strongly recommend using filtered or freshly drawn cold water brought to a rolling boil when brewing all types of tea. Today’s water has been known to carry viruses, parasites and bacteria. Boiling the water will kill these elements and reduce the potential incidence of water-borne illnesses.
